Religious Education at Eaton Bray Academy
Our RE Curriculum
In a world where people of all faiths and creeds live alongside each other, it is crucial that there is a respect for those who live differently to ourselves. Here, at Eaton Bray Academy the aim of Religious Education is to help children acquire and develop the capacity to understand, value and accept the beliefs of others in our ever more culturally diverse world. So our teaching will foster a knowledge and understanding of Christianity and other principal religions represented in Great Britain. Through learning about key beliefs and aspects of different cultures, children will learn to appreciate the way that religious beliefs shape life and our behaviour. They will develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues and through this process, promote their own spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
Religious Education is taught throughout the school and seeks to help children learn through a range of classroom experiences.
Progression of Skills in the RE Curriculum
